F&B Service Assistant

Employment Type: Permanent/Part-time

Job Location: Perdana Kuala Lumpur City Centre

To assist outlet captain, supervisor and manager in carrying out duties at the coffee house/restaurant/banquet.

Mission

  • To coordinate with the kitchen prior to dishing out of food, such as – to delay cooking etc.
  • To give an accurate number of guests to the chef before a party starts and always remember to double check.
  • Morality should be observed at all times within the hotel.
  • To check the stencils again at least an hour before the function starts so as to endure all requirements are made.
  • To see that all waiters on duty are neatly dressed.
  • To see that condiments are available, such as mustard, horse radish, chili sauce, tomato sauce, tobacco sauce and toothpicks.
  • Always double check after a function that the room and banqueting area are clean. Things belonging to the banquet department should be taken back and neatly stored.
  • F&b assistant should also check to ensure that utensils ate not wrongly used.
  • He/she should carry out last minute changes as instructed by the supervisor efficiently and effectively to satisfy the guests without putting the house in embracement or disadvantage.
  • He/she is responsible to have “signboards” made for the various function rooms where functions are held and restore them after the functions are over.
  • He/she must double check that all lights and air conditions are off and doors are locked after each function
  • All rules and regulations of the house should be observed and he should conduct himself in such manner so as to encourage his fellow employees to do likewise.
  • To perform any other duties or assignments as and when directed by the management.

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM certification
  • Demonstrated ability to greet patrons, present menus, make food recommendations and answer questions regarding food & beverage.
