Front Office Manager

Job Location: Villea Rompin Resort & Golf

Responsible in directing and supervising the activities of the Front Desk, Reservation and Bell Service. To act as a “Liaison Officer” between the guest and the management. Investigate complaints from guests and channel these to the appropriate departments concerned.

Mission

  • Monitor staffs’ grooming and appearance.
  • Resolves problems arising from guest complaints and attends to their requests and inquiries.
  • Approves releases of amenities e.g. fruits, flowers etc, according to established procedures.
  • To know the IFCA system – Reservation, Front Office & Cashier.
  • Inspects rooms assigned for VIPs and inform Housekeeping accordingly. Ensure complimentary orders are placed as ordered.
  • Sees to the accommodation and transportation of overflowing guests in cases of full occupancy. To liaise with the other hotels.
  • Authorise rate/room change, paid put, adjustments only RM’s approval, cash advances, and acceptance of cheques on the basis of established policy, amount involved and identity of guest.
  • Co-ordinate with security in the investigation of irregularities and undesirable guests.
  • Maintains a logbook to report daily operational activities to be submitted to the Resort Manager every morning.
  • Conduct training for Front Office Assistant weekly.
  • Prepares monthly working schedules for the Front Desk.
  • Assist in any other duties required by the management.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Hotel Management
  • A minimum of 7 years hotel experience with a proven track record in a Front Office Manager role
  • Good communication skill in English and Bahasa Melayu
