Amidst the rush of daily life, there exists a silent community often overlooked – the homeless. While many of us are fortunate to have a warm meal waiting at home, for them, each day is a struggle for sustenance and survival.
In the spirit of Ramadan, Attana Hotels & Resorts (AHR) via three of its hotels, Espira Kinrara (EK), Villea Port Dickson (VPD) and Villea Morib (VM) launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at helping out the underprivileged during this holy month.
The program was held on Sunday, 7 April 2024, with a total of 250 packs of food have been distributed.
This act of kindness not only addresses immediate hunger but also serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity and support for the most vulnerable members of our society.
According to Tuan Haji Ron Hasni Yusoff, the AHR Chief Operating Officer, “The objective of the program is to create awareness to the staff and the public on the plight of people living on the street.
It would help to develop a greater sense of compassion, be compelled to help out the underprivileged and contribute towards assisting those in need especially in the month of Ramadan. The program also aimed to promote volunteerism among AHR Group staff”.
